Function in the project:
The Lead Partner
Gdynia Design Centre, DesignEntrepreneurSHIP project initiator and the Lead Partner, was established as part of Pomeranian Science and Technology Park. It supports the development of creative industry, mainly entrepreneurship and projects related with industrial design, graphic design, multimedia and architecture. At the same time, Gdynia Design Centre coordinates multiple initiatives and happenings associated with design in the city, including participation in international projects, educational enterprises and organisation of exhibitions and events promoting design, such as Gdynia Design Days.

HIE-RO Association for Promotion of Hanseatic Institute for Entrepreneurship and Regional Development at the University of Rostock
Function in the project:

The Hanseatic Institute for Entrepreneurship and Regional Development at the University of Rostock (HIE-RO), DesignEntrepreneurSHIP Project Partner responsible for Development of Long Term Strategy, deals with applied research in the fields of innovation, human resources development, evaluation, concepts and strategies of learning regions and entrepreneurial education. Mostly focused on the Baltic Sea Region. In cooperation with other universities and institutions carries out analyses, studies and evaluations, as well as prepares training programmes. Aims at exchanging experience and finding innovative ways to support development goals.

Wismar University of Applied Sciences: Technology, Business and Design

The Hochschule Wismar - University of Technology, Business and Design, DesignEntrepreneurSHIP Project Partner responsible for Interdisciplinary Education and Labour Training, is a higher education facility offering 14 degree programmes at seven departments for about 4000 students from more than 30 countries all over the world. The course and degree programmes comprise a wide variety ranging from engineering and sciences to specialisations in art and design. Experienced university lecturers, knowledgeable staff members and well-equipped laboratories provide a perfect setting for applied research work, academic innovations and continuing education.

SVID Swedish Industrial Design Foundation

SVID, The Swedish Industrial Design Foundation, DesignEntrepreneurSHIP Project Partner responsible for the Transfer of Knowledge and Exchange of Practice, aims to improve the awareness within the private and public sectors of the importance of design as a competitive tool and to encourage the integration of design methodology into their activities. The board of SVID consists of representatives from the IVA, Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, Svensk Form and The Support Association for the Swedish Industrial Design Foundation. At the time of its foundation, SVID's focus was on industrial design: hence the name. Today, SVID works along the lines of a much broader spectrum to demonstrate design as a force for development for the private and public sectors. Its target groups include industry and commerce, local government, designers, universities and colleges.

Academy of Fine Arts, Gdańsk fulfills the function of an external advisor in DesignEntrepreneurSHIP project which helps with recruiting art students and acts as a consultant in terms of common curriculum development and labour training.
